Though we are only halfway through, 2020 has already been quite a year. It has held space for growth, contemplation, and fear. Many of us are realizing that so much needs to change in our world. In March, we began quarantine and with it came a new learning curve. Many of you transitioned to working from home- some had to also accommodate homeschooling into their daily lives. Teachers are saints. Quarantine and the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic forced me to adopt necessary changes in my practice. New safety measures were implemented. I drastically reduced my hours and adjusted time in-between patients to reduce possible risk of exposure. I also built in time in-between patients to thoroughly disinfect the office. Many of you have noted other shifts as well. Including the removal from my treatment rooms of blankets and pillows. Masks, gloves, and safety glasses have become the new norm. The waiting area, hallway, and main treatment room now have four stage air purifiers, which reduce airborne contagions. The various shortages we all experienced of sanitation supplies forced me to explore more sustainable methods for disinfecting the Center. Moving forward I will be using a UV-C light to sanitize the office between treatments. A UV-C wand will be used to sanitize doors and faucets. The bathrooms now have automatic soap dispensers to limit what needs to be touched.
Bottles of hand sanitizer are available throughout the Center as well.

Before COVID, I was already reflecting on how I practice this ancient medicine of acupuncture. As a healer, my job isn’t just to treat the presenting symptom- my job is to impact your whole being, to heal root causes of dis-ease.COVID fast tracked those thoughts, ideas, and practices beginning to form. I have been working on one person an hour during this time, and I am realizing that I do my best work when I allow myself the space to focus and be fully present with one person- rather than trying to navigate two rooms an hour. The patients I have worked on during COVID have noticed the benefits of this shift towards a slower, more present healing practice.

I am changing the way I work to continue to show up for all of you in this way. During the next month you will see physical changes at the Center that will allow this evolution towards deep presence and healing to take place. I will take a limited number of people per day, and the time between sessions will be increased. As of August 1st, my new price is $150 a treatment. This is a full hour one on one treatment. The other service I will be offering is a two-hour session for $500. The two-hour session will be transformative. It allows me to really get into the session, unlock patterns, as well as use whatever I feel is necessary during the treatment to provide a breakthrough (though not exhaustive this can include: tui-na, cupping, moxa, craniosacral work).

Those of you who buy packages from me will be able to purchase up to four packages before September 1st at the old treatment price. I look forward to guiding you towards wellness and peace.
Sincerely,

Jessica Breton
